Pastoral Leadership
Our pastoral staff recognizes the authority of God, and realizes that we are shepherds who serve under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. We desire to devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word. Our passion and goal is to equip the believers for the work of the ministry until we all attain maturity in the fullness of Christ.
Tim Moffett
Senior Pastor
Woodland Park is proud to welcome our new Senior Pastor Dr. Tim Moffett, his wife Susan, and their children, Adam and Ashley, into our church family. As a young child, Tim knew that God had offered the incredibly precious gift of salvation through his Son, Jesus Christ. Over time, he felt the call to help others say “yes” to God as well and help people find the fullness of life that can only come from a growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
After his studies at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, Tim began his mission to care for and shepherd the spiritual lives of those God puts before him and to preach the truth that is found nowhere but in God’s Word by serving in churches in both Florida and Louisiana. Let me just tell you quickly about our story.  Tim and Susan just moved from Eunice (northwest of Lafayette), where he was the pastor of First Baptist Church for 11.5 years.  They have been married for 26 years.  They really like Dairy Queen, good Mexican food, and Disney World. The Moffetts are really excited about being part of the Hammond community.
Pastor Tim believes a church should be a dynamic worshiping community committed to growing those inside the church while purposefully reaching those outside the church. We should strive to engage culture and be open to everyone while remaining God-centered. We are excited he is here to shepherd our church while feeding our congregation with relevant, Biblical teaching. Having already shown his servant’s heart toward his work and our church family, Pastor Tim will lead us to achieve a Spirit-led vision here at Woodland Park.
